Lunging Sword is a dungeon puzzle game. You swipe to send your sword sliding across the grid. Clear the monsters, gather coins and reach the gate.

01How to play

• Swipe up, down, left or right. The sword slides until it hits a stone, the edge of the board, or the first monster in its way.
• Hitting a monster stops the slide. If the monster dies, the sword takes its square.
• Coins are picked up as you slide over them. They never stop you.
• Where you stop matters. If your move ends on a square next to a live monster, or in a mage's line of fire, the run is over. Sliding past danger is safe.
• The gate opens once every monster is gone and you have enough coins. Slide onto it to finish the level.

The monsters

Regular

One hit and it's gone.

Stonebound

Turns into a permanent stone block when it dies, changing the board for the rest of the level.

Armored

Takes two hits. The first breaks its armor and stuns it, which makes it safe to stand next to for that one move only. Finish it on your next move.

Mage

Attacks in a straight line in the direction it faces. Hit it directly, from any side, to defeat it.

Stars

Each level gives up to three stars: one for clearing it, one for clearing it within the move limit shown at the start, and one for collecting every coin. Your best run is kept.

02Common questions

I'm stuck. Can I undo a move?

There's no undo, since every swipe is final. But you can restart the level at any time with the restart button at the top of the board. Every level can be solved.

How do I start over from the beginning?

Open Settings (the gear on the main menu) and choose Reset progress. This erases your stars and unlocked levels and shows the tutorials again. It can't be undone. Your settings are kept.

Can I turn off vibration or sound?

Yes. Vibration and Sound effects each have their own switch in Settings.

Will my progress move to a new iPhone?

Progress is stored only on your device. There are no accounts and no cloud sync. It carries over to a new iPhone only if you restore that iPhone from a backup of the old one.

I deleted the app. Can I get my progress back?

Deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone, and we keep no copy of it, so it can only come back from a device backup made before the app was deleted.

Does it work on iPad?

Lunging Sword is designed for iPhone. On an iPad it runs in iPhone mode.

What do I need to play?

An iPhone running iOS 18.4 or later. The game works fully offline.
